Many blogs reported this particular story and headline so much so that I became the talk of town after granting this interview to the extent that many wanted to find ways of getting me to spill the name of the media personality that once offered to get me on TV in exchange for sex….
Well question is ‘Did I really say this?’ …Yes I did and I would say it again if it means drumming it into the ears of many young girls in order to let them understand that their value transcends sexual offers. I decided never to reveal it to anyone but on that day, during the interview, I just had to open up a bit more only for the sake of that young woman who may have been contemplating offering her body for that role or position. No I didn’t have any money when this man made the request and neither did I have any other means of getting on TV at that time but I certainly knew there would be a better way to achieve my dreams than to offer some man two minutes of pleasure to the detriment of my values and dignity. I may have been lucky to know my value then but what about that young woman who doesn’t think highly of herself nor understand what it means when they say your body is your pride? Another woman may have fallen for such cunningness and would be regretting it by now probably because she realised that man had no good intentions whatsoever and only wanted a piece of her meat for his pleasure.
I come across such stories on a daily basis and they break my heart so much so that sometimes I want to ‘rip open the hearts and minds’ of these men to find out why they would make such demands before lending a helping hand but my point here is that if every woman knows her worth, she would never allow a man to deceive her into thinking his penis or her vagina is the key to her success. The key to your success is your brain, personality, ability to work hard and to be resilient. That was what I meant to teach all these young girls when I opened up during that interview and I’m glad I did because the response has been tremendous. If you already gave it up, its ok but make sure never to repeat such a mistake.
